China’s President, Xi Jinping, says the Chinese people are ready to promote exchanges with the American people. His comments were delivered in a letter to Iowa resident Sarah Lande who had written to President Xi, expressing her hope that such exchanges could continue. 

Lande, who helped organize a trip to Iowa for a Chinese delegation that included Xi Jinping in 1985, hopes the exchanges will enhance understanding between the two countries. CGTN’s Dan Williams reports.
