Almost 95 million Brazilians, lack basic sanitation. According to the latest official data, this accounts for around half of the country’s population.
But despite the grim reality, one of Rio de Janeiro’s favelas has developed a unique ecological sanitation system, making it the city’s cleanest community in Rio de Janeiro.
