Football officials across North America are by turns celebrating and commiserating this Friday after the host venues of the 2026 World Cup were announced.

It's the first time football's most coveted tournament will be played across three countries: Canada, Mexico and the U.S. 

But as Owen Fairclough reports, one city is losing more than just millions of dollars in economic benefits.
