Saturday was Coney Island’s annual Mermaid Parade, in Brooklyn, New York, where participants bring to life the mythology of the sea in America’s largest parade.
Founded in 1983, the parade is in its 40th year after a two-year hiatus amid the pandemic.
Hundreds of revelers gathered to celebrate artistic self expression as the summer season kicks off.
