Fed chairman remains committed to getting inflation down

The head of the U.S. Federal Reserve suggested more inflationary surprises could be on the horizon while insisting the central bank is doing everything it can to get on top of surging price rises.

Fed Chairman Jerome Powell took questions from federal lawmakers for what amounted to an inquisition over the inflation crisis.
