Photos from Kharkiv, Ukraine on Friday show a region destroyed. Specialized teams worked to defuse a bomb that was left undetonated in an apartment building since March.  

A yoga practitioner posed in a handstand this week near an upright missile in Freedom Square of Kharkiv earlier in the week.  

Russia’s military operation continues in the country.  Officials from the embattled city of Sievierodonetsk said Friday most of its infrastructure has been completely destroyed.

Reuters reports that the latest Russian advances appeared to bring the Kremlin closer to taking full control of Luhansk, one of Moscow’s stated objectives, and set the stage for Sievierodonetsk’s twin city of Lysychansk to become the next main focus of fighting.
