The Ecuadorian government won't continue talks with Indigenous organizations after a soldier died, says President Guillermo Lasso.

Indigenous groups and the government were meeting to discuss protesters demands, following two weeks of protests nationwide over rising costs of living.

In some protests, demonstrators are clashing with police.

Protesters are demanding the government address costs of fuel, food and other basics.

On Sunday, President Guillermo Lasso announced a 10-cent per gallon cut to gasoline and diesel.

Indigenous groups say that's not enough.
