Officials say that the man accused of killing seven and injuring dozens more at a Fourth of July Parade near Chicago has admitted that he was the shooter – and that he "seriously contemplated" shooting up another event.
Twenty-one-year-old Robert Crimo III was in court on Wednesday charged with seven counts of first-degree murder.
He faces a mandatory life sentence without the possibility of parole if convicted.
