Hajj pilgrims are wrapping up their journey and heading home.

This year was the first Hajj Saudi Arabia reopened the holy city of Mecca to international travelers after a two-year pause because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Officials this year also limited the number of pilgrims who could participate and they had to book their spots through an online platform, NPR reports.
