Torrential rains brought severe flooding and damage to Karachi, Pakistan on Monday.

An unprecedented 4.96 inches (126 millimeters) of rain fell in three hours, says Murad Ali Shah, the Chief Minister for Sindh Province.

At least one person has died during this latest wave of monsoon rains, CNN reports.

Karachi's main streets were flooded and rescue services were using boats to reach stranded people.
