It’s a painful chapter in Denver, Colorado’s history: a race riot that wiped out the city’s Chinatown neighborhood back in 1880.
Denver never fully came to terms with the tragedy until issuing a formal apology for it earlier this year.
Now, a historical marker describing the event, which was deemed offensive by many Chinese Americans, has been removed as well.
