August 15th marks one year since the Taliban seized control of Kabul during the withdrawal of US and NATO troops from Afghanistan.
Since that time the United Nations has worked alongside the de facto authorities to try to tackle the country’s humanitarian crisis, which it says is the worst in the world.
But it comes as the Taliban is accused of eroding basic human rights and failing to adhere to promises of access to education for women and girls.
