Aid workers on World Humanitarian Day

The United Nations aid coordination agency says helping people across the world is becoming a more dangerous and difficult job to do because of increased conflict, climate change and the fallout from the Covid-19 pandemic. This Friday (19th) is World Humanitarian Day, aiming to highlight the efforts of aid workers internationally.


CGTN'S UN Correspondent Sarah Walton spoke to the chief spokesperson for the UN’s Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in The Hague who said they face increasing challenges amid a major funding shortfall.
