Internet influencers of every size are emerging globally, but a recent study by the global data research firm, Nielsen, made headlines in Brazil. There are now more social media influencers in Brazil than dentists and engineers.

But some influencer’s have discovered their impact can still be limited by racism and gender inequality. Lucrecia Franco reports.
