Two people are confirmed dead from Monday's 7.7-magnitude earthquake in Mexico.

More than 200 buildings were damaged, most in western states near the quake's epicenter in Michoacan.

​While Mexicans are thankful for the low casualty count, the quake's timing, on a date increasingly linked to natural disasters, ​has ​many in the country ​rattled.
