Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi meets with Thai Deputy Prime Minister and FM Don Pramudwinai

Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Don Pramudwinai on the sidelines of the general debate of the UNGA 77 in New York on Friday. 

Wang Yi said that this year marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of China-Thailand comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership. The two countries agreed to work towards the goal and vision of building a community of shared destiny, and create a more stable, prosperous, and sustainable future for bilateral relations.

Wang Yi expressed that China supports Thailand in playing its host role and successfully holding this year's APEC leaders’ summit, ensuring that the meeting focuses on the Asia-Pacific and the economy, adheres to the goal of the Asia-Pacific Free Trade Area, facilitates the accelerated recovery of the region, and unites to address urgent challenges and serve the common interests of the Asia-Pacific. 

Don wished the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China a complete success and said that Thailand is satisfied with the smooth progress of cooperation between the two countries in various fields. Thailand supports the global development initiative and looks forward to strengthening coordination with China to successfully hold this year's APEC leaders’ summit.
