Brazilian elections pins two foes against each other

Brazil's long-awaited presidential election will pin two rivals against one another for the country's most powerful position on October 2nd.

While the incumbent Jair Bolsonaro of the right-wing Liberal Party seeks to retain the presidency, he finds himself squaring off against an old foe in Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva of the Workers Party.

According to the latest poll from the IPEC Research Institute, Lula is estimated to have 48 percent of the voter support to Bolsonaro's 31 percent.
