Oil spill in Peru's Amazon

Two Indigenous areas of Peru’s Amazon region are under a state of emergency following an oil spill from a pipeline that runs through the rainforest.  

Close to 2,500 barrels of oil were spilled into rainforest rivers inhabited by Indigenous Kukama people earlier this month.
