At the end of completing a three-country tour to reaffirm U.S. commitments to South American allies, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken met with Peruvian President Pedro Castillo.  

Blinken pledged to assist the country and the region as it faced a cost-of-living crisis as a consequence of the conflict in Ukraine.
