A new Scottish study indicates it takes many months for a number of patients who contract COVID-19 to recover from the disease, if they recover at all. 

It’s one more piece of evidence suggesting so-called long covid is much more prevalent today than many people realize. 

The mysterious condition is the subject of a major U.S. study that’s now underway.
