Officials on Saturday confirmed the death of a second person due to tornadoes that hit the U.S. states of Texas, Arkansas and Oklahoma late on Friday.

Several people are still reported missing.  Dozens of homes have been damaged and thousands are experiencing power outages.

Unseasonably warm autumn temperatures brought gusts of wind, hail and funnel clouds to the American midwest.  This one was filmed swirling in northeast Texas Friday.

According to reports, the storm ripped off roofs, damaged houses, fell trees and knocked down power lines in Carson County, Texas leaving three people suffering from non-life-threatening injuries.

Several tornadoes were spotted in parts of the south-central United States, leaving at least one person dead in McCurtain County, Oklahoma.
