Report: Black people are more likely to be wrongfully convicted

Black people are more than seven times more likely to be wrongfully convicted of murder than White people.

That’s according to a recent report by the National Registry of Exonerations. 

The Registry also found a pattern of harsher sentences for Blacks convicted of murdering White victims, and lighter sentences when the victims are Black.
