Will prison slavery end with the U.S midterm elections?

The U.S. midterm elections are over and among the winners are those trying to outlaw the last vestiges of slavery in various U.S. states.
Slavery and involuntary servitude are prohibited on the national level but forced labor is still allowed in prisons in many states. But that’s slowly changing.
