U.S.- Mexico border braces for migrant surge

The United States is bracing itself for a surge of migrants at the Southern border with Mexico ahead of the lifting of a pandemic-era restriction which blocks entry to the country to prevent the international spread of COVID-19.

The Biden administration will on Wednesday stop enforcing Title 42, a policy used by former President Donald Trump to turn away thousands of migrants on what he claimed were public health grounds.
