With millions of people around the world suffering from hunger, it is hard to believe that food is lost and wasted on a daily basis.

According to the United Nations, around 14 percent of food is lost between harvest and retail, and another 17 percent is wasted by households and food services like restaurants.

One Colombian is trying to bring about change with a big idea.
