Molten iron fireworks light up Chinese New Year

Watch this splendid molten iron fireworks show.

It’s a traditional folk art in China, with a history of 500 years.

The show carries best wishes to audiences for the upcoming Chinese Lunar New Year.

In ancient China, blacksmiths couldn't afford fireworks.

Inspired by the sparks in ironmaking, they poured liquid iron over the brick walls to simulate fireworks.

Performers must have arm strength, skills, and courage.
