Peru faces food and fuel shortages

Weeks of unrest in Peru have led to shortages of basic products, including fuel and food. 

The protests began when the country’s former president was ousted after trying to dissolve congress in early December. 

More than 55 civilians have died, and many are calling for current President Dina Boluarte to step down.
