In collaboration with the Chinese Embassy in the U.S., World Artists Experiences in Maryland invited local artists to demonstrate Chinese culture through performance and interactive handicrafts on Jan 30 at the Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts in Annapolis.
More than 400 hundred U.S. students and families watched the performance of various traditional dances, which included Chinese symbols such as Beijing opera, lotus, and lanterns.
At interactive booths, people gained hands-on experience making dumplings, writing Chinese calligraphy, and creating paper cuttings with artists. People also got the chance to play video games featuring Chinese elements.
