The death toll includes nine children and a 60-year-old woman. The latest victim is a 17-year-old boy named Hamza al-Ashqar who was shot in the face by Israeli forces during a raid in the occupied West Bank city of Nablus.

According to the Israeli army, the 17-year-old man had fired on troops.Israel says the raids are a security measure targeting suspected militants, one of whom is suspected of killing at least seven people in a shooting near a synagogue in Jerusalem in January.

The United Nations sent out a call for action to protect the Palestinian people, especially those living in the Jenin Refugee Camp where many of Israel's raids have taken place this year.

"We recall once again that Israel, as long as it remains the occupying Power, has an obligation to ensure the protection, security and welfare of the Palestinian people living under its occupation,” a UN expert said.

“What we see is the contrary. Dehumanization, demonization, and collective punishment of Palestinians, the latter of which is specifically prohibited under international humanitarian law and constitutes a war crime,” they said.
