An unmanned civilian Chinese airship and the U.S. response, have brought new challenges to the relationship between China and the U.S., wrote Chargé d'affaires at the Chinese Embassy in Washington, Xu Xueyuan, in an opinion piece for the Washington Post.
"This isolated incident has caused new wounds in China-U.S. relations," writes Chargé d'affaire Xu, but says what matters is the ability to resolve these problems.
He adds, "We look forward to concrete steps to prevent the situation from going further down the wrong path, so that the China-U.S. relationship can return to a track of sound and stable development."
