President Joe Biden will mark the anniversary of Russia’s military campaign in Ukraine with a speech in Poland on Tuesday, where he’s expected to reiterate the U.S. commitment to helping defend Ukraine “for as long as it takes.”

The White House says his visit and the speech will send “a strong message of solidarity” to Kyiv and allies in the region, during what his administration fears could be a “critical” period ahead, as CGTN’s Benji Hyer reports.
