The U.S. Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is set to host the Oscar Awards Ceremony in Los Angeles this Sunday.

And like recent years, the diversity of recognized talent is once again under scrutiny.

This year marks a major success for Asian and Asian American communities, which have scored more Oscar nominations than any other year.

And while many see this as major progress towards inclusion by the academy, others say more needs to be done.
