Hersh approached Postol, now a professor emeritus of Science, Technology, and International Security at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, while putting together the comprehensive article that claims that U.S. Navy divers were responsible for the deep sea planting of remotely triggered explosives that destroyed the Nord Stream pipelines.
