El Salvador opens “mega prison” to tackle gang violence

El Salvador has opened one of the world’s largest prisons, as part of the country’s ongoing crackdown on the gangs that have terrorized the country for decades.
And with prison sentences now increased for those convicted, the new installation will be tested to the limits.
