Evelyn Diekhaus, 9, one of the three children killed alongside three faculty members in a school shooting in Nashville, Tennessee last week, was laid to rest on Friday.
It was the first funeral held for the victims of Mondays mass shooting at the Covenant School, where a 28 year old former student shot and killed six people before being killed by police. Diekhaus was remembered as a ‘radiant child’ and a ‘beacon of joy’ by her loved ones.
Funeral arrangements will continue into next week for the other two children and three adults killed in the affluent Green Hills suburb.
