Venezuelans face challenges of buying homes

Homeownership is a distant dream for many Venezuelans. Even though the Venezuelan government builds homes for low-income families, not everyone is lucky enough to be selected to live in one. 

Mortgages and housing loans are scarce in the country, while the number of private property construction projects have been in free fall for a decade.
