Peru’s Indigenous communities protest controversial bill

A lawmaker from a right-wing party in Peru has put forward a parliamentary bill that would dismantle Amazon reserves created for indigenous people living in isolation.

The controversial move has sparked pushback from Indigenous Amazon groups who want to protect the vulnerable tribes.
