On April 12, around 20 American high school students who study Chinese in Muscatine, Iowa visited the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the U.S. in Washington D.C.

Minister Jing Quan interacted with the students and stressed that friendship between the people is the foundation of the relationship between the two countries. He hoped the students learn Chinese well to become ambassadors in the future.

The event was facilitated with the help of Sarah Landy, an “old friend” of China from Iowa. The Embassy’s young diplomats had a pleasant exchange with the students about Chinese culture.
