On April 20, a celebration of International Chinese Language Day hosted by Chinese Bridge Club was held at University Canada West in Vancouver, Canada.
Students from various universities, including the University of British Columbia and Simon Fraser University, participated in the celebration.
The celebration was attended by the local language institute and the Consul General of China in Vancouver.
“Chinese is the most abundant language in the world and has been in use for the longest time, making the world more beautiful and improving the lives of people in various countries. It embodies the international perspective of harmony among nations, the social concept of unity in diversity, and the moral view of kindness, ” Yang Shu, Consul General of China in Vancouver, said.
The event also featured performances of Chinese Guzheng and traditional Chinese dance.
