It’s called the Road to Healing. A year-long effort is underway to document the abuse that took place at U.S. Indian boarding schools over a 150-year period.
What happened at those schools, the last of which closed in 1969, has largely been kept hidden, exposing the lack of knowledge about Native Americans and their history in general.
