Trump pleads not guilty to 37 felony counts in federal court

No photographers were allowed inside the Miami Federal Courtroom on June 13, where former U.S. President Trump entered a 'not guilty' plea on 37 felony counts relating to his alleged mishandling of classified documents.

The only impressions from inside came from a courtroom sketch by Jane Rosenberg, depicting Trump seated next to his aide and co-defendant Walt Nauta and attorneys Chris Kise and Todd Blanche.

Rosenberg also drew Trump when he was arraigned in a Manhattan criminal courthouse on April, 4 on 34 felony charges of falsifying business records.

Trump and Nauta were released after approximately 45 minutes of court proceedings on their own recognizance. Trump had no limits placed on his domestic or international travel but was ordered by the court not to speak with Nauta, who is charged with six counts.

The U.S. Justice Department scored an early win in court when the judge, Magistrate Judge Jonathan Goodman, did not accept the defense's objections that barred Trump from speaking to possible witnesses in the case.

The Justice Department says they will submit a list of people they may call upon, including current and former Trump employees and allies.

Trump is headed to New Jersey where he is expected to address his supporters at a rally the same night.
