Chinese-American composer and engineer Austin X. Huang held a concert, "Reborn: The Audible US-China" at Benaroya Hall in Seattle on June 25.
The performance included four orchestral works by Huang, aiming to convey the concepts of peace, friendship, and symbiosis to the audience. His musical works combine Chinese music elements and Western music, and shows a new avenue for Chinese and American musical fusion.
Huang was born and raised in China before studying abroad, and he told CGTN he wants to show how Chinese people have viewed the world throughout history through his music.
