Widespread federal and corporate indifference led to sloppy nuclear waste handling outside of St. Louis, Missouri, in the 1960s, according to a new investigative report by the Associated Press.
The U.S. CDC confirmed that St. Louis County residents have elevated numbers of cases of rare cancers and other diseases compared with city residents, and says this may be a result from the radiological contamination in a waterway.
