It's been an uncomfortable part of many of our lives this summer: dense smoke from wildfires in Canada.
That smoke has drifted south into the U.S., filling the skies as well as people's lungs.
And if history is any guide, it’s had other impacts too.
According to one study, wildfire smoke can have a significant effect on solar energy.
