A federal judge in the election interference criminal case against former President Donald Trump has given him until Monday evening, Aug. 7, to respond to Special Counsel Jack Smith's motion for a protective order.
The request seeks to prevent Trump from disclosing materials provided by the government about the case. This would include grand jury witness testimony and materials obtained through sealed search warrants.
