An extraordinary environmental transformation is on display in coastal areas of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. What used to be one of the world's largest landfills is now a forest, complete with returning wildlife.

Conservationists achieved the transformation using the restorative power of the mangrove tree, considered a powerful 'nature-based solution' to climate change.
