West Hollywood, California has the highest minimum wage in US

A small city within the Los Angeles County has stolen the top ranking for the highest minimum wage in the United States. West Hollywood is home to only about 35,000 and is widely known for its celebrity-studded social scene and vibrant night life.
The move comes at a time when the cost of living is increasing in much of the country, but locals have mixed reactions to the new measure.
