To qualify for the Republican nomination, candidates must have received donations from at least 40,000 unique donors, reach minimum thresholds in polls, and must sign a pledge that they will support whoever gets the Republican nomination.

The debates will be broadcast on Fox News which recently settled for $787.5 million after being sued by Dominion Voting Systems for defamation over the network’s coverage of lies told by Trump after the 2020 election.

Fox News hosts Martha MacCallum and Bret Baier will moderate the debate, and are expected to ask the candidates questions regarding topics such as abortion rights and Trump’s criminal indictments.
