Chinese and U.S. representatives celebrated the 140th anniversary of the birth of Joseph Stilwell, a four-star U.S. Army General who helped lead both U.S. and Chinese soldiers in the fight against Japanese Imperialist forces during World War II.
His contributions are recognized by the city of Chongqing, which converted Stilwell’s old residence into the Stilwell Museum, making him the only high-ranking U.S. military figure to have a museum dedicated to his memory in China.
