U.S. lawmakers were struggling to resolve their government funding divisions this Wednesday with a partial shutdown just days away.
The Senate and House of Representatives need to agree on some kind of measure to keep critical services – from aviation to veterans care – functioning after September 30.
But they’re caught in perennial partisan feuds over spending, debt levels and immigration.
